Summer Research Fun??

I have heard from numerous teachers who are spending their summers on social media, theme parks, and zoos; but their not just having fun – they are researching!  Some are riding rollercoasters to find new ways to explain physics and gravity while others are visiting zoos and aquariums to research environmental issues.  Educational lessons are all around us.  Post what fun activities you are partaking in this summer that will also help you next year in your classroom.

Seminole Indians of Florida. Just attended a workshop on the Brighton Reservation, visited their schools, listened to legends, music and dance. What an exciting workshop this was. But, I could not afford the resources to take back from the visitors center. Hoping that I will eventually put together a nice slide show, music to go with it, legends and stories to compare with Folktales. It should be an exciting unit!
